Read the Bible every day!
Stop in and pick up a FREE Bible reading plan. Two plans are available:
- For variety, choose the plan that gives you readings in three different places each day — law & history, poetry & prophecy, and New Testament.
- For continuity, choose the plan that gives you several chapters in one book — the small letters are read in one sitting.
Both plans will take you through the entire Old Testament once, and the New Testament twice, in one year. If you've never read the Bible all the way through, the time to start is now!
Coming: advanced self-study course
A more advanced course is in development. Called Getting it Right with Jesus, this course focuses on what a disciple needs to understand, accept and imitate when it comes to Biblically following the Lord Jesus Christ. More details to come.
Self-Study Courses
God's Master Plan
Come in and sign up for our free 8-lesson course called God's Master Plan. It is geared for those who want to get an overview of what God has in store for planet earth.
Each lesson presents the Bible information regarding God's purpose for mankind, as revealed in both the Old Testament and New Testament. Each lesson comes with a list of questions to be answered and returned to the BEC in one of three ways:
- in person - this works best, since you can get a review of your answers immediately, and a copy of the next lesson (if you don't already have it)
- by e-mail - this option misses the opportunity to talk directly to the BEC reviewer and not everyone wants to fuss with an electronic form
- by regular mail - this option also misses the opportunity to speak face-to-face with a BEC person, and the process takes longer.
Students who complete the course will be given a certificate of completion.
Exploring the Bible
Our second-level course is called Exploring the Bible – and it will help you do just that! Beginning in Genesis and following through the Bible, key Bible themes and teachings are explored. This course has 27 lessons, and each includes a set of questions to be answered by the student. As with God's Master Plan, your answers may be returned in person, or by mail or e-mail. A certificate will be awarded to students who complete the course.
